Julian is a Preschooler!

Today Julian started preschool!  All weekend he talked and talked about how he wanted to go to school.  He loves dropping off and picking up Noah from school and visiting with Mrs. Martin.  So he was beside himself with excitement when I told him he was going to have his own teacher and go to school too!  Fortunately it is at Noah's elementary school, actually just a building over from Noah's class.  Julian lead the way after we dropped Noah off, I signed him in, we put his belongings in his cubby and he was off to the Lego table to play.  His room is full of fun things to do…paint, floam-type foam, play dough, books, pretend play, and the playground!  There are silk worms and a guinea pig in his class too.  He was all smiles when I left him to go to work.

When I got back to pick him up in the afternoon he was sitting in the circle waiting patiently with all the other kids.  He (and his teacher) told me he had a great day!  I got the run-down of his activities on our car ride home - circle time, stories, songs (ABC's), legos, art, and the playground.  Later Noah told me that they saw each other in passing and they were really happy to see each other!

It was hard to get pictures…we were both so excited we were moving fast this morning!

Tesauro Family = Giant's Fans!

Today is Leo's birthday!  Happy birthday babe!  We celebrated by heading up to San Francisco to catch a Giants game.  It was our first game of the season, and Naomi's first game ever! We all dressed up in fan gear to celebrate and have a fun day!

First we had to make a few pit stops to look for allergy medicine and sunglasses for Leo.  Then we grabbed lunch at a little shop called The Creamery - best salami sandwich EVER!  We made one more stop at theDugout Store so Leo could pick out a birthday present - he got a new hat!  It was a beautiful day at the park and we were able to enjoy the game in our seats in the shade.  We had sundaes and churros and cheered and clapped and sang during the 7th inning stretch.

By the 8th inning we packed it up and took a walk around the park, stopping at the kids area so the boys could go down the slide.  When the game ended (Giants-4, Padres-1!!) we rushed out the gates and got in line for the kids to run the bases.  We actually made it on the field this time and Noah ran the bases 2 times!  Julian ran to second base, then back to first, then started to head out the gates.  I had to track him down and he was upset he couldn't ride the tractor that was going to mow the grass.  Melt down time!  Once he was offered a lollipop from a stadium worker he was happy again.

Fun was had by all and hopefully we can go again soon!

Yes, Julian is showing his mouth full of food.  ):

It Feels Like Summer

The weekend was gorgeous here.  Hot hot hot!  The sun was shining, the sky was clear and it was hot.  Oh, I think I already said that.  Well I decided that it was time to bust out the slip n' slide.  Even Naomi spent a little time in the water.  She was a good sport, but it was a tad bit too cold for her.  Of course the boys had so much fun, until somehow the slip n' slide got a hole.  Once that was over we pulled out the little pool.  Naomi didn't like it at all.  She cried.  But she got over it quickly and snuggled up for a little nap in the warm weather.  I suppose my next shopping trip will be to get a new slip n' slide!

Isn't her bathing suit cute?

Hangin' in the kiddie pool

Go figure, it's windy and chilly today.

Neglectful

I've done an awful job at keeping you informed on Tesauro life.  Here is an update.

  • Enjoying watching the Giants on tv
Jen (almost 33):
  • Working part time as a Payroll & HR Admin
  • Thinking about starting to use my friend as a trainer again to get in shape
  • Obsessively swapping and purchasing nail polish with new friends around the world (seriously)

Noah (just turned 6):
  • Happy to be back at school after a week off
  • Finished basketball - started baseball
  • Still impressing us with his reading ability
  • Little gamer (video games)

Hoppy Easter

I like to host Easter brunch at my house - it's a fun holiday.  It's an easy holiday.  Ham, breakfast casserole, jello eggs, mimosas, baked pasta, cake.  But mostly it's because I like being in charge of the Easter egg hunt.  It's so fun to see how excited the kids get waiting in line to rush out the door.  We do youngest first, wait a couple seconds and send the next one out until they are all running around the yard.  There are 5 little boys in the family so that's a lot of noise and energy!  This year I put out some adult eggs too…marked them with an A, and filled them with lotto scratchers and gift cards to Jamba Juice and Starbucks.  None of the adults were expecting this surprise and were happy wandering around looking for an egg or two.  Actually it was quite funny watching my brother and nephew - who are both 20, hunting for eggs.  It was such a beautiful day, so wonderful to be outside soaking up the sunshine and spending time with family.  Hope you had a happy Easter too!
