She Rolls!

Here is a quick snippet of Naomi rolling over.  She's become quite the pro.  Every time I put her on the floor to play - she rolls.  Every time I put her down in her crib to sleep (on her back of course) she rolls and I find her sleeping on her tummy.  Anywho - big accomplishments in my house right now!!

Bouncy Fun

Santa brought Naomi a bouncer for Christmas.  She was still so tiny her little leggies just dangled there above the ground.  But she still liked sitting in it and having her brothers show her how the different "toys" on it worked and made music.  In less than a month she has changed and grown so much!  She can roll over, she sometimes reaches for me to pick her up, she grabs for things I'm holding, she chomps on toys, and she can actually touch the ground and bounce herself!

Have a looksie...

boys + wheels

Yesterday I took the kids to visit Gigi and Grandpa (my Grandparents - the kids Great Grandparents).  They live at the end of a court that is never too busy.  For some reason I have never thought to load up the kids bikes and trikes and scooters in the car when I head over to visit - until yesterday.  Noah hadn't practiced riding his bike in a long time and I didn't want him to forget how to do it.  So what better time to practice than while visiting family - then he could show off a little too!  I think it's safe to say he has the hang of it and is an official bike rider.

Julian didn't want to bring his little bike, but did choose the razor scooter to ride around on.  He's actually really good on it and also gets a little show-boaty himself.  He lifts his push-off leg so he is just cruising, zig-zagging around and he even went off the ramp Grandpa built a few times!  Such a daredevil.

From the Mouths of Babes

Noah hit the nail on the head.  Back when I was pregnant and we didn't know what we were expecting I asked the boys what they thought.  Both Noah and Julian were positive the baby was a girl.  Noah gave some insight into why he thought this.  His rationale was simple...it's a girl because we need a sister to be a complete family.
I took this picture the other day and looking at it I can't help but think of what Noah said and just how right he was.  Noah and Julian adore Naomi, and are such wonderful big brothers to her.  Always wanting to help; get a diaper, a burp cloth, a toy, or just play with her... And Naomi adores them right back in her own cute smiley baby way.  My sweet little Squeaker really did make our family complete.

New year...no motivation

So it's 2012.  All I have done is stay at home.  I have zero motivation to do anything or go anywhere.  I'm sitting here typing, but thinking I need to go get invitations, plan a grocery list, get the groceries off that list, fold laundry, load the dishwasher and start cleaning the house.  But am I doing any of that?  No.  I'm on the computer, typing a blog and browsing nail polish online.  I don't know why I'm so unmotivated.  It could be that I was stuck in the house for 3 days with 2 sick kids.  It could be that I'm still recovering from the Christmas festivities or traveling for a week immediately after Christmas.  Or possibly that all I want to do is read my new Kindle.  Maybe getting out of the house with the kids just seems to tiring?  Whatever it could be I really need to get my booty going and get out of the house for some exercise and fresh air!  So send me some good vibes to get me going!

PS - this is me.
