Tinkerbell 10K Marathon

Last month my mom, sister and I went to Disneyland to run in the Inaugural Tinkerbell 10K Marathon.  It was mom's idea, how she wanted to celebrate her birthday.  It was SO MUCH!  We left on Friday and arrived in record time.  We rushed off to the convention where we picked up our bibs and wandered around looking at all the cool vendor booths with fun running stuff to buy.  Some of the coolest stuff was there - running shoes themed to Disney characters, wings, running skirts, tshirts with cute logos, sparkly headbands!  So after that whirlwind experience we headed to Downtown Disney for dinner - we loaded up on pasta - yum!  Fast forward to 5:30 am Saturday morning (1/18).  RACE DAY! We popped out of bed, got into our running costumes and headed out with the masses to the starting point.  There were so many people out there and every single one of them was wearing some type of costume.  The run was amazing and fun and I'd do it again anytime!  All the sights and people and "chear squad" helped keep us running the entire time, all the way across the finish line!  Of course we are crazy and spent the day walking around Disneyland afterwards.  We were exhausted but we still had a blast!

We look so tired!

Time to run

Headed down Main Street and out of Disneyland

 Entering California Adventure

Can you believe this person ran with the Kevin costume on the entire 6.2 miles?!

We've left the parks and are running on the streets oh Anaheim now

Running along side I-5, I just love how this picture looks

As we reached the finish line they announced "The Kind Family" and it was the last awesome boost we needed to cross running!

We worked hard for our medals!

Yay mom!  I hope it was the best birthday weekend ever!

That's right - I am always the champion!

 Winners!

And we had pretty nails too!

And these are only the pictures from my phone - but we enjoyed a lovely dinner with drinks at Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar.  The "band" sang happy birthday to mom - TWICE.  LOL.

 Birthday girl!

And we made a trip to the Mad Tea Party...

 Mostly for drinks!

Breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen before we headed home...it was very yummy and filling!
