Little Ballers!

Baseball season is upon the Tesauro family and I can already tell it's going to be a great one!  Julian is on the Reds, Naomi is on the A's and Noah is on the White Sox.  It's been so fun to watch the boys play baseball - especially Noah because he started so long ago and we are finally at the point where it feels like we are watching a real game.  He's minor league again, but it seems like kids are starting to gravitate to positions they feel most comfortable playing...Noah likes catcher.  He is very focused back there and he makes great plays.  This past weekend he was responsible for at least 6 outs at home plate!  It was so awesome!   

The pitching machine was a bit off during this game - too high or too low.

 His hard work at catcher paid off and he got the first game ball!  So proud!

And here are some pictures of Julian doing his thing!  His age group still takes a bit of parent participation, guidance on who is supposed to get what ball and which base to run to.  But I can tell by talking with him that he's so close to wanting to do it all by himself.  Julian has a pretty strong swing already and I can't wait to watch him improve with every game!

And then there's this rascal.  I've spent the last 2 games corralling her away from the playground and on to the baseball field.  Naomi is in a heavy parent participation age group.  I literally have to do everything with her, from stretches and warm ups to catch and hitting.  It's pretty tiring but it is really fun when she wants to play.  We will do the warm ups and stretch, maybe catch for a few minutes, then it's the playground.  Then possibly run bases, then the playground.  Then hitting, then the playground.  The only thing that really captures Naomi's attention out there besides the playground is snack time.  She will actually sit for that.  But you know what, she looks freaking adorable in her "uniform" and she's having fun and those 2 things make it all worth it.
